Water & Carbon Footprint Calculator
What is your property's water footprint?
Pick your property type, size and water-rate region. We estimate annual irrigation water use, what root-zone intelligence typically conserves, what that is worth, and the carbon it avoids.

Property type
US water rate region
Annual irrigation use
449,000,000 gal
GCSAA Golf Course Environmental Profile U.S. median: 68.9 acre-feet (~22.45M gal) per facility per year.
Estimated water conserved
112,250,000 gal
At the typical 25% conservation rate for a monitored root zone.
Estimated annual savings
$841,875
At $7.50 per 1,000 gallons for the west region.
Estimated carbon avoided
43.8–87.6 t CO₂/yr
Roughly 9.5–19 passenger cars off the road, from the energy embedded in water supply and treatment.
How the estimate works
Water use comes from published per-unit benchmarks for each property type, shown under each result. Conserved water applies the typical 25% rate GroundWorx customers target with continuous root-zone monitoring — a planning figure, not a promise. Cost savings use the shared regional water rates: West $7.50, Central $3.75, East $5.25 per 1,000 gallons.
Carbon avoided reflects the energy embedded in supplying and treating water — an estimated 1.0–2.0 kWh per 1,000 gallons — at the U.S. average grid intensity of about 0.86 lb CO₂ per kWh. The car equivalent uses the EPA figure of 4.6 metric tons of CO₂ per passenger vehicle per year. Your actual number depends on your water source and local grid.
