About GroundWorx

We put measurement under decisions that used to rely on instinct.

GroundWorx builds the sensors, the network, and the intelligence layer that tell turf and crop managers what the root zone is actually doing — continuously, everywhere on the property.

Our story

Built by wireless engineers, guided by agronomists.

GroundWorx began with a simple observation: the people responsible for turf were making high-stakes water decisions from a handful of spot checks. The data existed underground — nobody had a practical way to read it all day, every day, across an entire property.

Our founding team came out of the wireless industry and built a sensor that lives in the soil for years, reports over cellular on its own, and installs in about ten minutes. Then we built GAIN, the intelligence network that makes all those readings mean something.

Nine years later that work has produced more than 700 million environmental observations, over 150 paid field trials, and deployments in eleven countries — on golf courses, sports complexes, campuses, commercial properties, and farms. Our hardware is manufactured in the USA with Morey Corp.

Partners

We build and deliver with

GroundWorx runs on a small set of deep partnerships — American manufacturing, global connectivity, sensor science, and regional distribution.

Morey Corp

Key Partnership

Our key US manufacturing partner. Every GX-1 sensor and iQ SmartWell is built by The Morey Corporation — an American electronics manufacturer with nearly a century of engineering heritage — and GroundWorx hardware has been in production with Morey since 2021.

At Morey, we work with a lot of companies — from early-stage innovators to established brands that need mission-critical hardware — and what stood out to us about GroundWorx is the clarity of their vision and the discipline behind how they've designed the product for Morey to build.
Ryne DeBoer, CEO, The Morey Corporation

KORE

Connectivity

Our global IoT connectivity partner. KORE keeps every GroundWorx sensor and SmartTower connected across carriers and borders, so readings from a green in California or a field in New Zealand reach GAIN reliably, without customers managing a single SIM.

2J Antennas

Antenna Engineering

Our antenna technology partner. 2J Antennas supplies the high-performance, low-profile embedded antennas that keep every GroundWorx sensor and SmartTower locked onto cellular and GNSS signals from inside a buried well or sealed housing.

Acclima

Sensor Science

Our soil-moisture science partner. Acclima's TDR (time-domain reflectometry) measurement expertise underpins the accuracy of GroundWorx soil-moisture readings, bringing laboratory-grade precision to in-ground field sensors.

PURE Insight

Sensor Science

Sensor development and advanced agronomy partner, collaborating with GroundWorx on next-generation autonomous soil sensors, including the Sports Capsule.

Ethos Club & Leisure

Industry Partner

Club and leisure industry partner, extending GroundWorx into premium hospitality and resort operations.

Living Turf

Distribution — Australia & New Zealand

Leading supplier of turf management products and services across Australia and New Zealand, and the main distributor of GroundWorx sensors in the region.

Ewing Outdoor Supply

Distribution — United States

One of the nation's top suppliers of landscape and irrigation products, and a primary distributor of GroundWorx sensors across the country.

At Ewing, we're always seeking innovative products that deliver value to our customers. The GroundWorx autonomous soil monitoring sensors are a game-changer, providing precise data that helps optimize water use while maintaining healthy and vibrant landscapes.
Steve Sakurai, National Golf Segment Manager, Ewing Outdoor Supply

GreenSight

Distribution & Integration — TurfCloud

Official distributor and integrator of GroundWorx solutions. GreenSight's TurfCloud platform unifies GroundWorx soil sensors with drone imagery, robotic mowers, and crew management — giving turf and property managers a single dashboard for their entire operation.

We're excited to welcome GroundWorx into the TurfCloud ecosystem. This integration gives our users deeper insight into their soil and water management practices, and strengthens our shared mission of empowering proactive, sustainable turf care.
Stephen Ohlson, VP of Turf and Agriculture, GreenSight
