GroundWorx + RainMaker.earth: Bringing Ground Truth to Water Treatment

RainMaker.earth treats irrigation water. GroundWorx sensors help evaluate what happens in the root zone — an independent soil-telemetry partnership, with validation in progress.

Innovation deserves evidence

Protecting water starts with understanding what actually happens after we irrigate. A treatment system and a monitoring system do different jobs. RainMaker.earth develops irrigation water-treatment technology; GroundWorx provides independent measurements beneath the surface. Our partnership brings those roles together to help evaluate their system through soil telemetry.

The aim is straightforward: use GroundWorx sensors to build a clearer record of how the root zone responds to RainMaker-treated irrigation water. This is validation in progress, not an announcement of completed results, certified performance or guaranteed water conservation.

Read the soil, not just the promise

GroundWorx sensors observe volumetric water content, soil temperature and salinity at monitored locations. Repeated readings can help teams examine moisture persistence, drying patterns and changes following irrigation. GAIN — the GroundWorx Autonomous Intelligence Network — places those observations in the context of weather and site history.

Soil moisture readings are not a water meter, a direct measure of plant uptake or a laboratory analysis of treatment chemistry. Claims about gallons conserved need separate water-use records; claims about plant health need appropriate agronomic assessments. Keeping those distinctions clear is part of meaningful validation.

A framework for a fair comparison

A sound evaluation begins with baseline observations. Where practical, compare treated and untreated areas with similar soils, vegetation, sensor depths and irrigation conditions. Track rainfall, weather, irrigation volumes and maintenance changes alongside the readings, and evaluate the response over time rather than relying on a single favorable snapshot.

That is the evaluation framework we advocate, not a claim that a particular controlled trial has already been completed. Trial locations, protocols, timelines and results have not been announced here. GroundWorx and RainMaker.earth will share findings when the evidence is ready and cleared for publication.

Different roles. A shared commitment to better decisions.

For golf superintendents, growers and landscape teams, the important question is whether an intervention makes a measurable difference on their own site. Our partnership is designed to support that question with independent root-zone data while experienced people remain in control of the interpretation and the next action.

RainMaker.earth's treatment claims remain their own. They are not GroundWorx results, and GroundWorx's existing customer case studies are not results of this partnership. Our contribution is the measurement layer: evidence from the ground that can help separate a promising idea from a demonstrated outcome.

See what the ground is telling you.
